Really Confused Activate Buton Not Active Help

:unsure: i recently purchased bitdefender internet security 2010. during installation i chose to register it (ie, it accepted my license key) but not to activate it as it could not connect to servers. i wanted to activate using new email account but it just wouldnt connect. last year i had bitdefender 2009 and i had it registered under my gmail account which i dont use very often. i logged into the bitdefender site with this old gmail account since it wasnt registering with new hotmail account during installation, to add the 2010 key. i thought thatll work. BUT the 2010 key has been added to the 2009 version. so it shows that 2009 has 352 days left and 2010's status is 'Evaluating'. and the activate button under registration module (in bitdefender 2010 ofcourse, uninstalled 2009 and formatted system a while back) is still not working. how do i activate??? attaching screen shots. please help.

i reinstalled bitdefender Internet Security 2010 and tried again. it got activated during installation when i provided my new email address as the username for the bitdefender account but after activation when i log into my account on bitdefender.com it shows that the product ive paid for or which has 352 days left for me to use as Bitdefender Internet Security 2009. so what does this mean?

First and foremost, please DO NOT post registration information on the public forum!. The screenshots that you originally attached in your first post were visible to all users of this forum, and in the approx. 9 hour interval since you posted until I saw your post anyone could have viewed them and taken that key. And now you risk that someone else uses your registration key, which means that you risk getting your key blocked. Registration info should be provided only on request, only to members of the Moderating Team, and only by PM (Private Message). Thank you.

I removed your screenshots from your post and re-attached them in an invisible post (which is only accessible to moderators).

Back to your problem: Did you previously have BitDefender 2009? How exactly, and from where, did you buy your key?

Hi,

Be kindly informed that the license key you provided me with was issued to be used with both 2009 and 2010 versions. As I can notice from the screenshots you sent, your BitDefender is properly registered and activated. Considering the above I would say that it does not matter if the key is listed as 2009 or 2010 under 'My Products' section of the website, all license keys can be used to register the same product but different versions.

The new 2011 version will be released soon and you will have the possibility to use the same license key to register it and upgrade for free to the new software version.

Considering the fact that you have posted your license key on the public forums, as a one time exception, we can change it with a new key for the remaining of the 350 days you have left from your subscription. If you agree please send me a PM (Private Message) to confirm it and you will have the new license key via email in the next 48 hours.
