Pc Slw And Will Freeze

I installed BD 2010 Total Security after uninstalling Panda. My PC is now VERY S..L..O..W. Mozilla Firefox browser takes an unusually long time to change web pages. Opening documents and typical files has also slowed dramatically. I did not have this issue with my previous security software.

How can this be corrected?
