How To Completely Stop Startup And Processes Of Bd2010

Corel support wants me to stop all non-essential start up items and processes. I cannot find out how

to stop BD2010 from starting up. Worse, cannot stop those last two BD2010 processes that are running

with usual tool in MSCONFIG and Task Manager. BD2010 always has two items running and I fear this is

my problem with the Corel installation. Any help appreciated.

Hello,

You will need to stop the services associated with BitDefender in Safe Mode. The following services needs to be put on Disabled:

1. Click on the Start menu button and go to Run

2. Type services.msc and hit OK

3. In the new window locate these services and set them on Disabled:

- BitDefender Desktop Update Service

- BitDefender Virus Shield

4. Restart the PC and BitDefender will be completely disabled to troubleshoot the Corel installation.

Unfortunately, get "access denied" when try to apply "disabled" or save it. Something must be restricting access for me to this file.
