Unable To See Or Control Bitdefender

I am running a Dell Dimension with Windows XP. I ran Bitdefender 2009 for year with no problems. I had been satisfied enough with the efficiency of the protection to renew my subscription for 2010. From the beginning, I have been unable to access Bitdefender fully. The window opens and it is essentially blank. I cannot click on anything within the window. After scans, occasionally (maybe 3 times) I am told a virus was turned up. I cannot complete any actions and I cannot actually see any information about the virus that is reportedly found.
