  • The virus has been backed up by your System Restore. To purge the restore points, disable System Restore, then run a deep scan, and after all is clean, you can enable System Restore again. That is done by right clicking on My Computer, then going to Properties, and then to the System Restore tab. You may also want to run a scan in Safe Mode. You can read more about it here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=1378

  • hey i did what u told however still no virus is found...i off the system restore but i did not scan using safe mode...must i restart the computer after i off the system restore?

  • If you reset the System restore than you shouldn't worry about. Just make sure that your system is clean, and everything will be alright. ;)

  • reset the system restore? how do i do that?

  • You already did that by disableing it and then re-enableing it afterwards. When you deactivate System restore, all backed-up files and restore points are deleted from that system folder (System Volume Information). When you re-enable it, Windows will start creating new backup-files and restore points, for use in the future.
