Hey, guys Im new to the Forum so I would like to thank all of you in advance for helping me with my problems. I know I will get good help because Forums are the best place where the best people hang out.
Anyway. I will tell you about my Current set-up First I guess. Im not to sure if you guys prefer seeing what kind of notebook and setup I have, but I know that I do.
Current Set-up.
Dell Inspiron 9300
Geforce go 6800
100GB 7200Rpm HD
2 GB ram.
Windows Vista Home Prem. 32-bit
Wireless Router.
Persona 5mb High speed internet.
I just recently put Bitdefender on my notebook because I have heard nothing but good things about it. All the reviews say it is number 1. Before I hade avg free which obviosly did not help because I think that is when I got the virus, or whatever it is that my computer has. So I downloaded Bit defender hoping it would find this virus since avg did not. And during normal scan it found generic.peed.eml.(these last numbers would always change. So I come to the forum for help on that and I found that this problem is in the inbox maybe. (Im not to sure though because defender does not tell me of the locatin. so I deleted most files not all and now defender no longer finds the virus or whatever it is.
but now I did a deep scan and found adware.VDM. and bit defender can not delete it or move it or nothing. Is this the virus that is causing all my problems? I should also mention that I have my wireless router set-up with an encrypted pass and all that good stuff, but my internet company called my and said I downloaded 25 GB in one day. How is this possible. I wast even home. So obviously someone is hacked in my system right? In the defender program the traffic is always going like mad like 110 90 80 140 what does this mean? Does this mean that these are computers using my connection?
I am getting really frustrated though because now it is costing me lots of money just to use the net. because I am always over my limit in the first day of the month. I hope this makes sence to someone and they are able to help me.
