Bitdefender Total Security 2010 Cant Update

Hello,

As I try to update Bitdefendero 2010 Total Security, the updater shows progress while downloading the update, be it 1000+ kbs, or 126kbs. After a good 5 or 10 minutes of trying to download, the updater suddenly re-starts the download. After a few attempts, it stops with a red exclamation sign, but no error report or anything of the sort.

Help much appreciated.

Bitdefender update

I suggest too a repair/remove operation (start program Bitdefender repair/remove...) to repair BD. It could settle the issue maybe?

ok sir.. thnks for the help.. it helped me alot.. and it updated my bitdefender.. but my problm now, is bitdefener services are not responding?? sometimes thiss happen and sometimes not.. but yes, it happens frequently.. how do i fix this? pls.. dont let me thnk i wasted my money.. tnx alot.. and also i dont have any malware on my machine.. the only thing that protects my pc is usb disk security and this bdf..

Please follow the steps below and send me the generated log file:

1. Download this file:

2. Locate and open 'Sysdump.exe'

3. A command prompt window will appear on your screen. Please note that the information gathering process can take several minutes therefore please wait until the window disappear by itself.

4. The result will be the file called 'SYSDUMP.TAR'

5. When you have the sysdump.tar please upload it HERE

6. Include a DETAILED description of the issue you encounter: reproduce the steps you take until the issue occur and, if possible, enclose a screenshot of any error message you receive.

7. Send me a PM (Private Message) with the download link and one for the topic you started.

hey sir.. tnx for all the help.. but my problem about that seem to end ryt now.. the thing that happens again is about the update.. it happeng again the bix exclamation red mark.. it shows.. it cant finish its update then it cheks back at the cheking system updates.. and the worst is, that the drive where windows is and also where BD is installed goes ultimately fast and becomes full.. because of the update.. my hard drive becomes full because of the unfinished updates.. how can i get this back to normal? grrrrrrrrrrr..... and also sometimes BD slows my PC.. just like now... i need to restart my pc a several times because of that, bd ses critical error.. and when i closed the mesage and accpeted it, my pc then freezes.. what is the solution to his problem?? .. well, how can i upgrde to 2011? when my windows drive where BD is installed, is full?? i hve spce but only 122mb.. it has been eaten by the failed updating of BD my 3G allowance in my windows drive..

Hello teng,

I suggest clearing up some space by using the Windows cleanup utility and running the BitDefender uninstall tool. Also, check for any unnecessary personal files taking up space on your hard drive.

- Start -> (All) Programs -> Accessories -> System tools -> Disk Cleanup

- BitDefender uninstall tool: http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

Regarding the download issue, you can either save the full install kit from another location with broadband connection or order a Backup disc:
