Deployment Problem

I have recently downloaded a evaluation version of the client security which includes the enterprise manager to try out the system. I have installed the package and wanted to deploy to a network workstation from my server. At present the network is not on a domain, just using the workgroup with the router doing the DHCP. As the admin I have full access to the computers I am deploying too. But I always get stuck whenever the deployment reaches the stage where the useername & password is required for the workstation pc. It fails alway: "logon failure: username/password....."
I just want to see the features of the system before purchasing it.
Is this not working because its a evaluation version?
Is this not working because its not on a domain?
A friend suggested installing the local manager manually on the workstation rather than deploy over the network remotely.
Anyone got a solution?
