Help! Slow Internet

I need help. After i installed bitdefender total security 2011, my internet is very slow. Download rate drop from 3mbps to 500kbps. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Can you please tell me if this issue is the same with the BitDefender Firewall turned off? Open BitDefender in Expert view > go to Firewall module > uncheck Firewall is enabled for 15/30 minutes -> then check your download speed. Then re-enable the Firewall module and check again the download speed.


    Also go to the Antivirus module > click on Custom Level > uncheck Scan web (http) traffic and test it again.


    Please let me know if, by disabling one of these features (or both) from BitDefender, the download speed increased.
