Firewall Rules For Torrent?

Hello im new in this forum, i have bitdefender internet security 2010, what im trying to do is set up my firewall in a way that doesnt allow bitcomet to upload files when i dont want it to upload, is not just that it uploads files also i noticed that when i chek the activity it says that bitcomet (its a torrent download program) is having out/s activity, how can i set up my firewall so it doesent let bitcomet to use out/s? because it slowers my internet even if im not uploading files. By the way i dont want to block it completly i had nod32 and it was set up in a way that i could download but not let it upload files unless i wanted to.

In other words who ever is familiar with bitcomet i just want it to have the yellow light. Not green, not gray.

  • Hi franchutex,

    First I want to apologize for my delay in responding to your post. Before giving you the instruction you need, I would recommend you to upgrade for FREE to BitDefender 2011. In case you are interested in using it, please me a PM with a Screen Shot with your system configuration or just tell me your general hardware specs (CPU, RAM, System Type...).

    In order to see your system configuration, right click on the MyComputer icon present on your desktop and choose Properties.

    How to take a Screenshot:

    1. When the window is on the screen please press the "PrintScreen" key ("PrintScreen" is located at the top of the keyboard, at right. At this step we can not see anything, as the picture is copied into Windows's clipboard);

    2. Open a graphic editing application (We recommend using the standard Paint program, that comes with every Windows installation (Start > Program > Accessories > Paint));

    3. Paste the picture in a new Paint document;

    4. Save the file in JPEG format.

    Thank you!
