Firefox Terminates, Local Url Not Accessible

Running total protection - latest version

Win 7 up-to-date

Firefox 3.16

After installing total protection, Firefox terminates immediately on loading, showing white screen. IE works OK.

Tried the following:

Set firewall to "Games" - no effect

Turned off firewall in control panel - no effect

Rebooted - no effect

Uninstalled FF, reboot, reinstall FF - same problem

Uninstalled BD & FF, reboot, reinstall FF - problem went away

So is BD, unfortunately -- out of time to fix

The FF error report showed a falult in ntdll.dll

Also -- was not able to access my router at 192.168.1.254. Even after turning off firewall. After uninstalling BD problem went away.

Not sure what other effects there may have been. These were enough to make me uninstall BD so I can do my REAL work.

I had had a problem installing (my problem), and got quick and good support from Bao Ning :-)

Comment: requiring street address and other completely irrelevant information to use the 'contact us' webform is very user-unfriendly. You are certainly blocking many, and you never get to know why they wanted to contact you :-(
