Bitdefender 2010 Hangs "drag", "copy", "cut" Operations In Winxp

I just installed bit defender 2010 on 2 laptops - 1 with Vista and another on xp.

The one on Vista works perfectly without any problems

The one on Winxp is causing explorer to hang (not responding) when doing "drag", "cut", "copy" operations. This issue happens regardless the size and type of file.

How can I fix this?

Tell us more about your WinXP system.

- What is the type/speed processor (CPU)?

- How much memory (RAM) is installed?

- Do you have any other security programs installed?

- Which BD 2010 product is installed?

I am running BD Antivirus Pro 2011 on my WinXP desktop and see no slowdown. You can find my full system specs in my signature for the mpc: Millennia to compare.

Slowdowns can also be caused by a large number of background tasks being loaded in Windows.

Hi,

I'm running it on a netbook. I think it is an Atom with 1GB or so of Ram.

The product installed is internet security 2010

All other security programs were removed cleanly

Prior to BD, I was using McAfee and such problems never happen.

If I remover BD, the hang issue goes away and all operates as per norm.

I believe BD does not takes up as much resources as McAfee isnt' it?

BD is working something or taking up some resources which perhaps can be configured?

If this problem cannot be resolved then I've no choice but to give up BD for good.
