Bitdefender Engine ?

I have some questions about engine of BitDefender Product. Firts i have this query because yesterday, on my friend's computer (protected by BitDefender Internet Security), infected many viruses and BitDefender be killed by them (all services related to BitDefender be removed ). My query is that maybe BitDefender can not scan before virus activated (because have much more files in one dir) ??? I see that when i open USB and view in Shiel - Last Scan File, not that BitDefender scan files in USB immediately.

My second question is that when BitDefender quarantine one file, i restored it and navigate to dir that contain this file and BitDefender also does not block immediately !!!

I've moved your topic to a more appropriate forum section. This is my opinion you have to wait till one of the virus researchers answers to get a 100 % correct answer. What I think is that your friend computer got infected with a dropper which installs in a few second lots of malware. BitDefender realtime protection will not always scan the folder but it will block access to it when you try to run it. That is how it should be. How BitDefender has to react depends also on the settings that are choosen.

Normally BitDefender blocks immediately access to infected files.

To verify it take a look at the events which you will find in the BitDefender Security Center.
