The Virus Scan Module Is Unavailable

Hi,

Currently two problems with my Bit Defender 2011 Total Security.

1. Will not load on startup, I have to click on the icon and get the usual warning asking me to allow it to makes changes to my computer. Worked fine when I first installed it but now does this.

2. After I load it, the virus scan bit is unavailable. Not always the case but a majority of the time.

I've seen others with this problem.

Hello Scott,

Have you used a previous version of BitDefender before installing 2011 ? Have you installed other security solutions ? If you uninstall them, how did you do that ?

Follow the steps explained in THIS article then send me a PM with the generated log file along with a detailed description of the issue you encounter and the link to this topic.

Last but not least please also enclose a screenshot of any error / notification message you may receive associated with BitDefender and the issue you encounter.
