Please try to disable AVC option before installing it. In order to do this open BitDefender > go to Options in the upper right corner choose Expert view -> go to Antivirus module -> click on Advanced Settings -> uncheck Active Virus Control is enabled and click OK.

Nice try, I had almost everything else turned off but this one was still on. Anyhow I turned it off but I still could not install Adobe Photoshop Elements 9. I don't know that BitDefender is stopping the install from completeing but it seemed logical. The install gets to the point were it's writing to the registry and then something stops it and Adobe uninstalls itself. Does BitDefender protect the registry from being written to? I'm running Windows 7 on an ASUS G73.0 -

I will get the Adobe PSE9 and will try to install it on my end. Can you point out to what registry entry the installation fails to write the key to ?
