In the past I knew of several IP ranges that should always be blocked. Does anyone have a list of these addresses? Please tell me how to block them as well with my Bitdefender Total Security 2008.

You can use this modified hosts file so you can't visit bad websites. That file blocks automatically bad ip ranges of websites.Here some information about it. Scroll down for the download link. Spywareblaster does the same thing. You can find it here . The BitDefender realtime protection will also automatically block bad websites that are known. Hopefully that was the information you needed.

I strongly recommend blocking all IP blocks that belong to RBNetwork (AS Number: AS40989). You can find them here:
http://www.robtex.com/bgp/as40989.html
They are known to host malware, spam bots and phishing sites. For example Win32.Virtob (aka Virut) is hosted on their servers.
