Updates On Slow, Or No Internet Connected Pcs
Hi.
One of my friend's office is using 45 user licenses of BitDefender Antivirus 2011 on 45 individual PCs, but those are not connected to internet 24/7. Even if they manage to provide them internet connections, it is only for a short time and a very slow bandwidth, to be share among all those 45 PCs.
Good thing is that, all those PCs are connected within the same network. Thus i was wondering, if there is any option so that only PC gets the updates from the internet, and the rest 44 PCs share the updates from the network without being connected to internet.
is it possible? if yes, how? please help me out.

Hello,
It's a simple way to update all the PC without Internet connection however part of the same local network. All you need to do is set/decide a PC as server (the one having active Internet connection) then use its IP address as update server in the BitDefender Update module settings.
1. Open BitDefender and switch to Expert View from the Options button;
2. Go to Update module;
3. Click on Settings;
4. Set as primary location the IP of the PC set as server;
- note: the update server should look like this: http://123.123.123.123/
5. Set the Secondary update location the same as the primary;
6. Click on 'Apply' then go back to Update and hit the Update Now button to test the modifications.
