Intrusion Detection System - Blocking Progam: Vlc Player

Hi All

Sorry if this is related to a different post. i did have a dig through.

I keep getting messages popping up from IDS after opening any video through VLC player. I have tried turning off IDS yet it still blocks it yet doesnt show the message.

I have added the program to every whitelist i could, yet still nothing.

Any advise?

Hi simon4403,

Please try the following steps:

- open BitDefender in Expert View

- select Antivirus

- click on the Exclusion tab

- click on the "+" sign

- the BitDefender Exclusions Wizard will open

- choose Exclude by file/folder path or Exclude by extension

- click on Next

- click on Browse and select the executable file of VLC

- click on Open

- click on OK

- close BitDefender and check if the issue is solved.
