Bitdefender Internet Security And Malwarebytes 2011
Can you possibly tell me why,
bitdefender internet security is blocking malwarebytes from updating now?
never had any problems before, so what has changed in bitdefender ?
so as a result i am not using bitdefender again until i find an answer to this problem,
i have removed it from all 11 of my computers.
i like to use a product that works with malwarebytes not against it.
anything you can tell me would be helpful,
hopefuly i can get an answer and put back bitdefender.
and hopefuly subcribe to the 2012 version.

Since you are using BDIS, try disabling the firewall to see if it updates. I am curently on a free hotel wi-fi network and Malwarebytes updated just fine. I use BDAV Pro which doesn't have the firewall.
Malwarebytes had successfully updated to the latest program version which is why my screen shot shows that I have the latest database version.
Do you get an error message? If so, please post a screen shot.

i reloaded a computer with a fresh install of windows 7 then bitdefender internet security 2011,
then loaded malwarebytes.
malwarebytes will not update.
if i put the mbam.exe in to the games list then it will update.
took it off the games list
then if i turn off the anti virus it will then update.
both ways are very strange..
firewall on or off has no effect on the ability to update malwarebytes.

Hello TheArfen and welcome to BitDefender Support Forum.
Please try the following and see if it helps.
Setting Rules for Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware in BitDefender 2011 Products(Internet Security and Total Security):- Open BitDefender
- Click Options and select Expert View
In Expert View, - Click on Firewall on the left, then click on Programs
- Click on Add Rule and make 2 rules: one for mbam.exe and one for mbamservice.exe
On my test PC, the update for Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.5x Pro(trial) is working just fine.
