Adobe Reader X Slowdown After Recent Major Update

Recently there has been a major BDIS update and I have noticed a considerable slowdown with adobe reader X.

Before your recent major update there was no problem and there has been no adobe reader updates before or after your update.

This is not a singular pc slowdown, it also occurs on other computers I personally manage with BDIS installed.

Please investigate.

Computers managed:

Windows XP SP3

Intel P4 Processors 3GHz or more

1GB RAM or more

Since the slowdown is intolerable, I have down graded to Adobe Reader 9.4.4 which run seamlessly and ultra quick compared to version X (10).

Please add Adobe Reader X / 9 to Exception list under Active Virus Control.

Thanks for the reply Cristi B.

But in my opinion adding an application to an excluded list I do not consider a viable solution since it leaves that application vulnerable and unsecured.

As per my last post, I down graded to version 9 and this runs perfectly without adding it to the exceptions list.

Also as per my original post I would suggest you investigate as to why BD is having trouble with version X (10) and fix the slowdown.

Adobe Acrobat / Reader X is running slow even if you don't have an antivirus installed.

If you add an application to AVC exclusion list, the application will not remain vulnerable and unsecured. It will still be scanned by BitDefender on startup.

Also what is the point of an exclusion list if the applications are still scanned?

Please add Adobe Reader X to AVC exclusion list and you will see the difference.
