Bitdefender Av2008 Hold My Computer Hostage

The problem is that when I boot my computer with Vista Ultimate installed and login immediately once I get the login prompt I have to wait at least 3-4 minutes while Bitdefender basically brings my computer to a halt. I have installed other AV software such as Avast, AVG, NOD32, Kapersky to try and trouble shoot and none of these cause any sort of problem. I can repeat this issue everytime Bitdefender is installed and only Bitdefender.

I contacted Bitdefender support through chat on October 31st about this issue and was told they would escalate the issue and I would receive an e-mail detailing on how to proceed. Guess what? I have not received an e-mail as of yet. Quite frankly I probably won't bother spending anymore time on this as far as trouble-shooting goes. If they aren't interested, why should I be. Oh wait a minute, I paid for their product. There comes a point though when it just isn't worth it. My head is still sore from banging it against my desk during the chat conversation the other day, during moments of utter frustration. I am not sure how many times I had to find a different way to explain the same thing before whoever I was chatting to comprehended what I was trying to say. I am not a dentist but pulling teeth would have been easier.
