Trojan-Spy.Win32@mx

Dear sirs,

I just hope that you can assist me. I am having problems with my antivirus Bitdefender V10 that I purchased last year (Subsciprtion end in Dec 2007). It was OK until last month. I noticed that my PC was infected with virus and spyware such as Trojan-Spy.Win32@mx and my home website has been hijacked by another anti spyware website. **** site appeared automatically every now and than which caused a lot of embarrassment.

I have contacted BitDefender support. They asked me to scan my PC and send them the report. I did as told and that was done on 17th Oct 2007. I have been sending reports almost every two days but I have not heard from them.

I was very dissappointed with the support team. They have not provided any assisitance to me at all. I dare not even use my notebook in the public as **** site will just pop-up.

I hope you can help me.

regards,

From

    Hello JohnCSWOO,

I moved your post, firstly because it has nothing to do with BD2008 series, and secondly because it's Malware-related. Please be more careful where you post next time. Not only because it will keep the forum well-organized, but also because you'll get a faster, more accurate answer.

Now back to your problem: please try to disconnect your computer from the network (unplug the network cable an disable the Wireless connection(s)), restart in Windows SafeMode and make a DeepScan with BitDefender. All files that you find suspected/infected, delete them (or move them to quarantine). If there are any files that cannot be removed, use the instructions HERE to remove them.

Also, I recommend that you download SUPERAntispyware, update it and make a full scan in SafeMode.

If this doesn't solve your problem, please post a HijackThis! log and maybe we'll find something there.

    Cris.
