[resolved] Installation Msi Errors?

if this error is somewhere else on another topic let me know please...

what is happening, i downloaded the trial version of BD 2011, once the time was up i uninstalled it, purhcased BD total 2012 and attempted to download it. i us the file bidefender_tsecurity.exe file to run the installation. it comes back with a message telling me Norton is still on my computer. it asks me if i want to uninstall it and i tell it YES, it then comes back with an error "this MSI must be launched through setup" i've removed all norton files but 3 or 4 just by deleting them because they were to have been deleted already, and there wasnt an uninstall file and it didnt show up in the add/remove programs in the control folder.

i currently run windows xp pro sp3, 2G ram, and plenty of storage. i am trying to install BD 2012 total security.

Welcome to the forum.

I would recommend downloading & running the official Norton uninstall tool which you can get from the links in this pinned topic.

Next I would download & run the BD uninstall tool to start with a clean slate on your PC. Finally, I would also recommend re-downloading the full file version of BD 2012 you are trying to install and use it to install BD. Both of these files can be downloaded from links found in this pinned topic.
