Bitdefender Total Security 2012 Resource Hungry
I saw that I can upgrade free of charge to the 2012 version, so I did. I noticed that it is a bit resource hungry than the 2011. I used to ran the same programs before and my pc hangs. CPU usage goes up to 100% all the time. Is this also happening to others?
I switched back to 2011 version again and everything went back to normal.

In order to trouble shoot your problem, you will have to re-install BD 2012 and work with tech support. Simply uninstalling the product and going back to a previously release does not help.
Has it happened to others - some. But each occurance has to be handled on a case-by-case basis because every PC has a different hardware/software configuration.
