2012 Ts Stops Att 49% And Will Not Complete Installation
I have tried installing this four times, including cleaning & removing between installs and never have been able to get past 49%.
I de-installed the prevision version completly before attempting installation to remove any possibility of issues.
What do I do next? I really want to have this up and running.
I ran sysdump and it says I cannot upload the .tar file, how do I work around this?

That is correct, you cannot upload the tar file directly to this forum. Follow the steps below, in particular, steps 5 & 6 to upload the file.
Please follow the procedure below to have BD tech support investigate your issue further.
1. Download this file: http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...ile/sysdump.exe
2. Locate and open 'Sysdump.exe'
3. A command prompt window will appear on your screen. Please note that the information gathering process can take several minutes therefore please wait until the window disappear by itself.
4. The result will be the file called 'SYSDUMP.TAR' and will be located in the same folder where you ran sysdump.exe from.
5. When you have the sysdump.tar please upload it HERE
6. Send a PM (Private Message) with the download link to DanyDan of tech support. Include a link to this topic and give him as much detail as possible about your problem symptoms. Also provide any other relevant configuration information.
Depending on their workload, it may take several days for them to respond.

OK, I did use the external site down loader and sent a PM to dannydan.
Aparrently, the full downloaded version won't show me a progress bar and just states installation failed.
I sent him a sysdump of before and after. Hopefully this is what is needed to fix this problem.0 -
Hello,
You have not checked the system requirements.
Minimal system requirements:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP SP3 (32 bit) , Vista (SP2), Microsoft Windows 7 (SP1)
http://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/total...%20Requirements
Install the latest Service Pack for the Windows Vista you are using then use the BitDefender uninstall tool to clean your PC follow by a restart. After PC reboot, start the installation and the issue will be resolved.
Case resolved, topic closed.

Daniel,
Please explain to me how I do not meet the requirements.
System shows Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit OS
6GB ram, Q9000 quad core cpu0 -
In the log you sent you I've seen Vista SP1. Can I get the download link again please ? If you are using Windows 7 please generate the log file again and send me the download link via PM.
Thank you!0 -
Updated: checked the new log file you sent and found the culprit. It's a known issue what will be resolved soon and involves the driver:
\??\C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\NB Probe\SPM\ghaio.sys
Please uninstall from Control Panel >>> Programs and Features: ASUS Data Security Manager then use the BitDefender uninstall tool to clean your PC from orphan files from the previous installation attempt.├+BDESVC

BitDefender uninstall tool:
http://www.Bitdefender.com/uninstall
Right click on the file after you SAVE it on the Desktop and choose 'Run as Administrator'. Do NOT use the option Run when you download a file.
For an extra layer of security you can use a registry cleaner software such as CCleaner or Argente to clean your Temporary Files and Invalid registry entries.
Let me know if you were able to successfully install BitDefender or the issue persist at the same 49% percentage.
Looking forward to your answer!0 -
Thanks Daniel.
I made it up to 70%, then it acted like it started over and hung at 50%.
I even ran it as Administrator, and restarted it so it would resume installation and still no joy.
What do I need to de-install next?
Thanks for your help, I'm 1% closer...0 -
