Bitdefender Slowing Down My Browser And Comp Response

Hello Everyone <img class=" /> Hoping someone could help me here.


First I will start with my comp spec


Imac 27inch 2011


3.3ghz i7 Sandy Bridge


4gb ram


2gb ATI 6970m


1tb HD


Windows 7 home premium using Boot Camp


Browser that I use


Firefox 7.0


- flash and java is up to date


Connection Use and ISP Speed


- lan


- 50mbps D and 3mpbs U

Other Info


- Windows 7 new install


- no lag exp when I use OSX


Troubleshooting Steps


- kill all apps that use internet bandwidth


- did a speed test


- disable Bitdefender Toolbar


- reinstall browser and update all components


- reinstall bitdefender


- update boot camp drivers


All above fails and I still experience lagging when I open sites that have flash content eg: youtube or any other site that have flash ads.


It also lags and crash the browser when I open a PDF. I notice as well slow response on opening my PC Applications.


My temporary fix for now is to uninstall Bitdefender and install Microsoft Essential and Malwarebytes. It definitely solve the issue. No lag, apps and my browser response 10x faster and I could open pdf files on my browser tab in instant and doesn't crash.


Hopefully someone could help me here as I'm so upset coz I did purchase 4 licenses because of good reviews and user response.
