Programs Previous Allowed Popping Up Again

Hello,

I installed the BitDefender Internet Security 2012 on August 31st, 2011. I am using the Paranoid Mode. I allowed all the programs I needed and everything has been fine until now. Why is it all of sudden asking me to allow some of these same programs all over again.

On top of that the other day one of the things I had to allow was the wgatray.exe

This has to do with the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification

There was an update for Office 2007 and when I went to do it, I was now asked to authenticate my version of Windows all over again.

I have one older program for editing music called Cool Edit.

I actually had to reinstall it because it now said I was running the trial version.

This computer has been rock solid for me.

I keep it updated, I clean out my files, and I run regular virus scans

I had Malware Bytes installed until BitDefender made me uninstall it.

I have never had any problem with it until now.

Can someone offer some insight as to what is going on?

Computer specs are in my signature line.

    Hello Cristi B.

Yes, I have the latest version installed. I right clicked on the icon in the sys tray and the information matched what you wrote above.

The last few days have been okay. The firewall has not asked to allow anything since I posted my original message.

Sometimes, though, since installing BitDefender weird things happen randomly.

Today my mouse and keyboard did not work. I had to reboot to get them to work.

It is not the first time. It happened once before about a month ago.

Sometimes my desktop freezes during boot up for a few seconds.

Not often. It has happened maybe 2x in the 3 months I have been using the program.

Just now before coming here, I had a program I have been using for years freeze up on me.

    It never did that before.

It these little annoying things that have only started happening since the BitDefender.

Overall, I like the program, so I have been dealing with them.

I switched over from Grisoft's AVG because I read about BitDefender in Consumer Reports

I just think it uses more resources and that's what is causing the problems.

Perhaps future versions or updates can be made to lighten the load.

We are constantly trying to improve our software.

Now, regarding that software installed on your machine for years, could please create an exclusion?
