Questions Before Upgrading...

Hello, i tried Bitdefender 2012 when it came out in trial and i noticed many changed from 2011 i did not like i would like to upgrade but i have to make sure some futures are available since they were removed in 2012.

I want to know if:

1)In 2011 i loved the internet (net zone) and file zone bar on desktop... When i tried 2012 it was gone? I think is a must have the desktop activity bar (IN DESKTOP!!!! not in the program). So is back or what?

2)Real time protection in 2012 is = to what in 2012? and if i can disable it temporary if i need to?

3)Internet rules in 2011 can be deleted all at once form all the applications things from windows. In 2012 when it came out it was divided in sections and some were created automatically.

3.1 Do rules keep being created automatically? and...

3.2 Can they be deleted all at once?

Detailed answers please and i prefer from a mod or technician the answers will depend on me changing AV and buy another or stay with BD.

For security reasons, you can not turn off the program from system tray.

    3. In Bitdefender 2012 the rules are created automatically for know programs. You also find an activity log and the ability to raise the level of alerts by turning on Paranoid mode.

For security reasons, they can be deleted all at once.

Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns. Have a nice day.

  • Thanks for the answers, about the first one i did read the thread, that does mean the activity bar is still missing in 2012?

  • Hello

The activity bar is not present in Bitdefender 2012. Maybe in the near future it will be implemented again.

    Thank you.
