Bitdefender Killing My Internet Speed
I bought a new computer two months ago (Windows 7 Pro, Intel Core i5) and installed Bitdenfeder Internet Security 2012 (build 15.34.1437) and the overall speed had deteriorated since to the point it takes about 8-10 seconds to load my home page (msn) and about 5 seconds to browse each webpage. All others task not involving the internet is also slower (and getting slower) including start up and shutdown. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi,
If you notice a significant slow down, this issue can appear for the following reasons:
● BitDefender is not the only security program installed on the system.
Though BitDefender searches and removes the security programs found during
the installation, it is recommended to remove any other antivirus program you
may use before installing BitDefender.
To Remove other Security Software :-
For Windows XP:
-----------------------
1. Click Start, go to Control Panel and double-click Add / Remove programs.
2. Wait a few moments until the list of installed software is displayed.
3. Find the name of the program you want to remove and select Remove.
4. Wait for the uninstall process to complete, then reboot your system.
● For Windows Vista and Windows 7:
------------------------------------------
1. Click Start, go to Control Panel and double-click Programs and Features.
2. Wait a few moments until the installed software list is displayed.
3. Find the name of the program you want to remove and select Uninstall.
4. Wait for the uninstall process to complete, then reboot your system.
If you fail to remove the other security solution from your system, get the uninstall
tool from the vendor website or contact them directly in order to provide you with
the uninstall guidelines.
● The Minimal System Requirements for running BitDefender are not met.
If your machine does not meet the Minimal System Requirements, the computer

Thanks for the recommendation but I don't think it addresses the current problems BitDefender TS 2012 is currently causing in several OP and Internet Search systems/software as indicated in this thread http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...29397&st=60 . Two laptops with (Windows 7 & Windows Vista) both 64 bit using BitDefender TS 2012 and both using IE9...neither of which were having any problems with internet browsing until recently with no other changes to the systems with the exception of the BitDefender updates. Its fairly obvious the problem is with BitDefender's software and not Web browser(s) software or functionality, add-ons, or other third party software. How about a little assistance in tracking this problem down, BitDefender!
