Active Virus Control Issues.

Options

Good evening.

Active Virus control is preventing me from playing certain games on my steam, which is obviously a inconvenience. I would appreciate any assistance that you might be able to offer in regards to this issue. Thank you :)

Please note that I did follow the thread on how to add things to the exclusion list, it did not work at all.

Also I could not access the support page because the 'Product' choice drop down menu only has other, restricting me from submitting my request.

Thank you for any assistance. :)

  • Hi,

could you please give us more details on this issue?

Which are the games you have problems with and how Active Virus control is preventing you from playing certain games, it declares them as malware or if you turn OFF Active Virus Control, then the game works?

    Thank you for your feedback.

    Hi Cadith

Have you also created exclusions for Active Virus Control(no only the On Access scanner)?

    Thank you.

  • Chris, that was the first thing I did since that article is pinned :).

It seems to be only affecting my steam games. It pops-up stating that Active Virus control has deemed launcher as harmful and has been terminated. Bitdefender 2010 never gave this issue. It's quite strange.

And I did disable the Active Virus control to check, sadly no effect :(

    Welcome back

Let's try something: please upgrade to Bitdefender 2012 and let me know if you still receive that error.
