[resolved]installation Doesn't Even Start

Options

Hi,

I would wish to try Bitdefender IS' trial, but I cannot, because whenever I start the installer, I get the following error: "Bitdefender cannot be installed on your operating system".

Please help be to get it installed, I've never had any problems with other security softwares, and I have none installed right now so it's urgent.

I have Windows XP SP3, 2GB RAM, Intel Atom n270, GMA950. Netbook.

As shown above, it's SP3, so I have no clue why it cannot install.

I have submitted a support ticket too, it's "201112121039649". I hope having this here too, will lessen the time needed to solve it.

I am attaching a dxdiag file in case it's useful to you.

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to our forums.

Do you use the Hungarian version of Windows XP Service Pack 3 or is just a language pack installed over the English version?

    Thank you.

I use the complete Hungarian, not just a language pack.

Just checked and Bitdefender starts on the other computer which is a Windows 7 x64, also Hungarian (not language packed).

Any ideas why it won't do the same on XP x86?

    Welcome back :)

I need some information from your machine.

First off all please provide me the download link that you used to for the current installation.

Please right click on My Computer and select Properties(the last option from the menu).

Take a screenshot from that windows and upload it here in your next reply.

    It should look like this:

Also please follow the steps explained in the article below and send me via PM the generated log file:

I'm downloading what you have sent me in email right now,

while the support tool is still at Getting event logs... Since a few minutes. It might have got stuck.

Edit: sysdump.exe is using 40-ish percent of the CPU, it has been about 15 minutes or so since it's saying Getting event logs.

Edit2: supporttool is using the other remaining part of the CPU, since I clicked cancel and then no to quitting. I hope it will finish sometime.

Okay, so I stopped waiting, terminated sysdump.exe, and it quickly said it is done with the log file.

By then the zip was downloaded, and it installed fine.

    Thanks for your help!
