[resolved]can't Update
My Anti-Virus 2012 stopped updating. It says:
"To benefit from signature updates after 30 days since the installation, you must configure a Bitdefender Account"
At the bottom it says Feedback and COMPLETE REGISTRATION. I click on that and it asks me to loggin. When I do it takes me to a simillar screen. From there I can click on "Go to my Bitdefender" but that's it. the three dots in the middle keep moving as if it's trying to load something. Nothing happens. if i close it and click to update, I get the same thing.
I tried logging in with my google account and same result.

I've also tried repairing it. Upon repair it does an update. If I click to update I go back to the same old thing - it won't update. If I have to uninstall, I will uninstall it for good, even if I paid good money for this and still have 693 days left. There is no reason for this to be happening. I shouldn't have to spend hours upon hours to get updates I have paid for.
This has to be the most troublesome anti-virus I have even encountered in the last 20 years.
It would be easier and less time consuming to just re-image everything. This is turning out to be worst than getting a virus.0 -

Great! I'm uninstalling this thing. This has been a nightmare for the past few days. I had been warned buy a few people not to install it but I listened to internet reviews instead of acual users. Now I see why user give it a low rating. Sure it's effective but not usable.
Guess I'll just have to warn others about it as well. This has wasted way too much of my time. I will uninstall and create an image of my hard drive. if anything happens it only takes 30min to re-image.
Worst anti-virus I have seen since I got my first 386 computer back in 1992. Worst support too.0 -

Thanks for the reply.
I uninstalled it earlier on with the Bitdefender uninstall tool. I just re-installed it to give it one more shot. Everything seems fine but I still get "Complete Registration" at the bottom of the screen. If I click it, the MyBitdefender window pops up it lets me log to my account or logging with another account. Is anything else supposed to happen? Looks like it's trying to load something but nothing ever happens. If I logging to my account, Bit Defender will than say "MyBitdefender" instead of "complete registration". However, when and minimize Bitdefender to the windows tray and re-open it, it goes back to "Complete Registration". Is that the way it's supposed to be?
Do you still want me to send you a log file?0 -
Hello
Yes, please send me the logs so I can take a look.

Thanks but I fixed it after I looked at the log files from event viewer that you had asked me to create. Uninstalled it again, deleted every single registry entry that made reference to bitdefender and re-installed. This time instead of using my retail cd, I downloaded the latest version from your site. It no longer shows "Complete Registration". It now says "MyBitdefender" at all times.
Never had so much trouble with an Anti-Virus. Frustrating but at least now I have peace of mind knowing I'm fully protected.
