[resolved]windows Action Centre

post-71894-1328806624_thumb.png

Hello

I have BD Internet Security v. 2012, recently updated free by BD ( MANY THANKS! :rolleyes: ) from v. 2011.

PC & Laptop are both protected, both run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Windows Action Centre screenshot is attached. I have carried out Updates and Full Scans to both machines, but Action Centre still shows reports as in the Screenshot. How do I fix this please?

Thank you for the great service: original 2011 download, BD gave me a free licence for the laptop. Then a free update to 2012. I will definitely be taking 2 more licences when current ones expire.

    @ Broeck,

    Make sure you have the "Security Center" Service set to a delayed start. If the service starts before BitDefender, you could get a false report from Windows "Action Center".

    Good luck,

    Hello Christian. Thank you for your help.

    I have tried to use the Support Tool. It creates a window on the Desktop, proceeds up to "Gathering Events" and stops. I have left it on my desktop for over an hour, nothing else happens. This is what happens now:

    Laptop has no issues with Windows Action Centre. All Bit Defender items work correctly, updates and AV scans are recorded in Events Log.

    PC still has issues in Action Centre and with BD window. I update and scan every day, but only Updates are recorded. Scan window reports "Last scan 11 days ago."

    I am worried that my scans are not working on the PC, although the window also states "You are currently protected. There are no issues to fix."

    A look at my download history will show that I originally installed BD Internet Security 2011 for my PC, then requested another for my laptop. BD was kind enough to give me this free, and even more generously recently gave me an update to 2012. Has the fact that there are 2 licenses, created a problem?

  • Hello :)

    In this case, please follow the steps below and send us the result:

    a ) Go to this page

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx and download the autoruns file.

    b ) Extract the contents of the downloaded file and run the 'autoruns.exe' file;

    c ) Wait for the list to be filled with all the processes and then make sure that you have the Everything tab selected in the upper part;

    d ) Click on the Disk icon right under File and chose any location folder on your computer;

    e ) Save the file with a specific name (your name, computer name, a random name, which one you want) and then send me a PM with it.

    If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on

    http://www.sendspace.com

    or

    http://www.mediafire.com

    and send me a PM with the download link.

    We will analyze the information you sent and then reply with a possible solution in the shortest time.

    Have a nice day.
