How Do I Install Defender 2012 If I Have Bit Defender 2010 Running

I was looking through the install instructions for for 2012 and saw instructions for installing if you already have 2012 and for if you have some other av software but not a word about what to do if you have an earlier version of be installed. I currently have bd2010 on my Windows Vista 32 machine I need to know do I uninstall 2010 or what this should be real simple but if my previous experience with updating BD is any guide I'm in for a real nightmare.
