Rescue Cd Does Not Work

Hi there,

I am sure this is simple to solve but wish I knew how to.

I download the rescue cd from bitdefender, however the download is not an iso image at all

I can not put on a usb because it can not find the iso file.... because there is not one in the download!?

Should bitdefender be advsing that once it is downloaded people have to use software such as magic iso to convert to an iso??

seems to me that the instructions are not clear.

there is no .iso file in the download from bitdefenders server???

there are just folders NO ISO?

what is the point of calling it iso when there is NO ISO??

I will download that, if it is the same as the iso file from your server then it does not come as an ISO file, it just has the folders / files outside of an iso.

If it is not an iso file then surely it needs converting to an iso??

ok still downloading.... a little slow!

is there any known problems with winrar as when it downloads I have to extract with winrar.... I have had other iso files using winrar though?

will let you know, normally iso files show the disc image once downloaded

can you upload a screen grab showing the ISO file once you have downloaded, I do not get it so can not burn it????

ok seems winrar was causing an issue with the iso file, removed winrar and it shows the iso now!

Might be worth other people being aware of this if they have winrar!

If you set to open ISO files with WinRAR, that's why you have encountered any issues. If you set that, the ISO file will look just like a normal archive(it will have the specific WinRAR icon).

Let me know if you managed to burn the ISO file.
