Total Security Installer Crashing

Hi, this is my first post. I am trying to get your trial version installed but every time i try, i only get up to the agree and continue screen before it either crashes or gives me an error code 0xc0000417. I have tried to use the uninstall tool and tied the offline install as well... i have even tried to go in to safe mode to see if it will work that way but still nothing.


I have attached one of the crashes in a screenshot. if there is anything else you like me to try, just say so and i will give it a try.

  • hi christian, thanks for the reply but i have tried this one as well and still get the error, also im running windows 7 64bit ultimate if that helps anymore

    Have you tried to download the installation kit with another browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox?

  • im using firefox 10.0.2 i will try with another browser and see if that makes any difference

  • ok well thats IE 9.0.8112.16421 64-bit Edition & Google Chrome 17.0.963.79M done and still the same result...

  • just a followup msg to see how things r going christian? as i would like to get this on my pc ASAP as i have no virus protection at all and if i can get this working then i will be going out and getting the full version not long after...

  • its all good christian, i resolved the problem... i did a system restore from 2 weeks ago and it installed.... i dont know what happened but it seemed to fix it so im not complaining...! thanks anyway... but i do have another problem now, since i have had it installed my ram usage has gone through the roof... is there a way to fix that? thx
