Hello
Welcome to the forums.
Please open Bitdefender using the desktop icon. Click on Settings and after that go to the Firewall module. Select the Advanced tab on the right side and turn off Paranoid Mode.
Reboot your PC and everything should be OK.

this problem has been ask for 2 weeks seam like no one can fix this problem, even I chat with bitdefedner techsupport over 1 hrs.
I have to uninstall bitdefedner security 2012 and use the old ver 2011.
this happen for all windows 7 64 bit, I try to test it over 5 system with windows 7 64 bit, if customer turn on Paranoid mode they don't know because not thing pop up to asking them.
I have to reinstall ver 2011 back to 7 customer I has been advise them use bitdefender.
I just got Viper security demo for free. the end of 1yrs lisence i have to move all customer to use Viper.
we has been use bitdefender over 3yrs I am very happy about this software, but this time no more.

We must ask the developers to back manual settings, as it was in version 2011. Paranoid mode is not suitable for manual control of a firewall.

Thank you for this solution Christian! I've just installed BitDefender and it's been going crazy on me. Thought I'd find your forum and bang there it was solved.
I do share the worries on the other posters here. It is the first time I have used BitDefender and it so far the best firewall program I have used. If you could sort out the paranoid mode bit it would be awesome0 -
Hi All,
There is another way to handle this.
If you want to "Allow" applications, turn off "Paranoid mode", go to "Application rules" and remove all rules created for this application (if so). Then open application (a rule will be created), turn on "Paranoid mode" again and BD won't ask for a rule again.
If you want to "Deny" applications, go to "Application rules" and remove all rules created for this application (if so). Then you have to create a rule ("Application rules/Add Rule) for the application (.exe) you want, with all "Network Types" and "Deny" checked and BD won't ask for a rule again.
P S: Do not modify an already existing rule. Delete it and make a new one.
Peace and Happiness for all!!!0 -
...and keep in mind that when "Paranoid mode" is off, almost all applications allowed to access internet without prompt.

Hello
The behavior is normal, all digitally signed files or know applications are allowed by default.
