2012 Internet Security Error Message

Hi.

I have a brand new computer running windows 7 and I just downloaded and installed Bitdefender 2012 Internet Security. Now when I colse out all the windows on the screen I get an error message pop up that says "The application was unable to complete an operation". When I choose to view the details it says" System.NullReference: Exception Object Reference not set to an instance of an object". This did not happen before I installed the bitdefender program.

How do I correct this.
