Vsserv.exe And System Resources Resolution
One of my laptop computers running Win7 Pro x64 with 4GB RAM is affected by vsserv.exe hogging system resources and slow boot times. I have searched all posts available for any kind of resolution. They always end with the Moderator asking for a "PM Report" but no clues, general information or responses of any kind following. This was not my first visit to this forum.
Now I have been running BDIS 2011 and now BDIS 2012 for a while and am really quite happy with it but when one searches a forum looking for some help on any type of issue, they generally would like to find some type of breadcrumb or at least an attempt to help resolve the issue. Unfortunately this is not the case with this forum and it is obvious that the moderators response is a "generic form" that is posted. I am assuming that any further contact must be initiated in a private discussion with whomever is involved.
Unfortunately it is a bit infuriating for others with similar and in this case identical problems. It appears to be an ongoing issue that by now should at least warrant a document or posting of some kind reflecting general suggestions or at least an acknowledgement that the issue is being investigated.
For me anyway, I will continue on with BD because it has caused minimal problems on my systems. It seems to me that AV programs in general cause more issues on system resources than any others probably due to the ever-changing world of virus, malware and just plain ol bad guy hackers out there but I do believe a vendor's forum speaks loudly to a companies commitment to providing good customer service and this forum has a bit to be desired.
Thank you and I would appreciate any ideas you might have on this vsserv.exe issue but PLEASE don't send me any PM request, it looks like you have enough for this one issue.
