hi guys.

i am a kaspersky user for long time and now my KIS 12 subscription is about to expire and i am thinking to try other Internet security before buying new subscription. so i find out that bitdefinder have #1 rank in may AV tests so , i think i have to give B a try , BUT i have some questions..

1) where do i download BD IS 12 installation pack for x64 (not that client ) so i can try BD in my VMware workshop and if i find BD the IS i want so, just install BD in my host machine.

2) is bitdefender able to give full protraction on X64 win 7 due to patch grad,cuz i have seen that notron and even KIS is not able to protect fully on X64 bit version .

3) how fast is bitdefender's updated server is cuz on KIS 12 it take too much time to update AV even if update is only 500KB-5000KB.

4) how strong bitdefender's self defense is cuz KIS have good SD i mean i did tried ever method to shutdown KIS in VM but it starts every time . and if you guys watch youtube then you probably know that norton have worst SD i mean even a rootkit is able to full disable norton so i am not going to even try norton.

5)is BD sports offline updated or updated backup ?(cuz i have 3 pc and i don't want to updated them ,cuz i have work to do not updates )

6)how strong BD's HIPS is ?

7)is BD have sandbox in it ?

8) is BD have desktop gadget like KIS?

and pls don't say me to go any BD websites cuz i have visted them all and i am willing to you guys to answer.

cuz when ever i think to switch my IS i first check that how good that IS's form members are .

Gosh... i forget to ask about cloud service ..

so how good is BD's cloud service ? i am able to see how old and popular any file is like norton and KIS?

2. Yes, Bitdefender can fully protect both 32 and 64 bits systems.

3. We have servers and mirrors dedicated for each country, our updates are delivered each hour.

4. We have watched that YouTube video, and I can tell you that ZeroAccess/Sirefef won't bring Bitdefender' Self Protection. The processes can not be stopped.

5. Yes, we provide manual updates(offline) and also we have the Network Map module through which you can create a local server in your network to update other stations.

6. Bitdefender 2012 was designed to be a silent product with no pop-ups and windows. For those that want mode control, we have the Paranoid Mode included.

7. We have a sandbox module for all web browsers, so you don't have to worry about infected websites.

8. Bitdefender doesn't have a desktop gadget, but the behavior of the product can be controlled via the system tray icon.

Regarding the cloud servers, our product is connected to them 24/7 if there is an active internet connection on the station.

well thanks for reply (at last someone did).

i have one more question as testing BD IS in VM i found a strange thing my temp folder is missing or i say hidden from me .

question - is it due to BD privacy policy or error ?

and for that insulation kit its just client i need full pack which is around 200+ mb

i found one topic in forums but the DOWNLOAD is croupted when i try to install it , it says it's corrupted , any help ?

I am going to test to see if I can reproduce this behavior in a virtual machine, Bitdefender does not hide folders.

well OK .

one more thing when you go to folder setting option both option are unchecked i mean when ever i try to select hide folder or unhide folder it won't work both options are unchecked while bitdefender running or installed ,that's weird past . pls post back if you got any info about that !

and nope i tried downloading with ff, chrome and IDM none worked all time after downloading pack and after running it,it end up with corrupted file msg.

this options ,(it in my host machine so it's checked )
