Bitdefender Is 2012 Not Allowing Windows Update

I am using Windows 7 with Bitdefender Internet Security 2012 and I believe it is not allowing the Windows Update to download new updates. I keep getting the error 80072EFD over and over and I have not received any updates for months.

What do I need to do to get the Windows Update to work?

Hello, I've just noticed this topic after posting a very similar one earlier today. Is there any progress on it? I can't find an answer from Christian or it being transferred to another thread.

I get the error code "80070005" every time, I haven't been able to update for security etc for many weeks now.
