Advise On Re Format

Hi

Ive just bought Bit Defender total 2008 with 3 installs (very impressed, beats Norton any day!).

After installing on my Lap top and PC, Im going to install it on my girlfriends desktop aswell.

She also wants to reformat at some point in the near furture, but due to her current protection expiring and her getting some phishing e-mails through, we need to install BD now

Is there any way we can re-format her PC later, without having to re-install BD afterwards? Ive heard of people copying the program to their secondary drive and then moving it back afterwards... please could someone explain this procedure - and would I be able to dump it onto an external drive in the same way?

Any advise would be much appreciated!

Andy

    Dear drewk

Unfortunetaly that isn't that easy. If you just make a copy of it BitDefender will not work because the registry entries aren't copied. That is just the same for other installed software. You need some kind of image software such as Acronis True Image or Norton Ghost.
