edited May 2012 in General

I recently bought the license of Bitdefender TS 2012. After I installed always get error message in minecraft (Could not create the java virtual machine).

My notebook have 2 video card, if i use the integrated the game runs, but if use the Geforce 540M get this error.

I update the java to 7, update the video card drive, reinstalled the minecraft, and nothing. If remove the Bitdefender the game works again with the 540M; if repair the bitdefender the game works again, but after shutdown the notebook and turn on, the problem come back.

The Bitdefender Game mode does nothing, if I put in the exclusion does nothing too

If use the geforce 540M with other programs that need the java, the same error occurs.

My note spec

Processor - Core i5 2410m

Memory - 8GB DDR3 PC1333

HD - 750GB

Video Card - GeForce GT540M 1GB and Intel HD 3000

Windows 7 Pro x64

Sorry for my bad english

PS: After install the windows have a slow start up

    Hi :)

For the current situation, let's try something else.

Please follow the steps from below:

    1. Use our uninstall tool in order to uninstall/delete any previous BitDefender related files:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

Access the link and when the window with the BitDefender file appears, please choose the "Save to disk" option. Save the tool on the PC, run it(right click and select "Run as administrator" - for Windows Vista/7) and restart the computer when prompted.

    2. Download and install the software and then run it to clean your computer's registry and temporary files:

    http://download.piriform.com/ccsetup318.exe

    http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/usin...gistry-cleaning

Once the cleaning is complete it's recommended to restart your computer.

If you have a registry cleaner already installed, you can use that one.

    3. Install BitDefender using the latest installation kit available for download. Please note that you need to download (save) the installation kit prior to running it.

The BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2012 installation kit can be downloaded from here:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_antivirus.exe

The BitDefender Internet Security 2012 installation kit can be downloaded from here:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_isecurity.exe

The BitDefender Total Security 2012 installation kit can be downloaded from here:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_tsecurity.exe

The installer should automatically retrieve your license key so you will not need to enter it again during the setup.

For more information on the registration process please read:

    Hi :)

Please right click on BitDefender icon from system tray(the "B" icon) and choose "Show". In the main window, click on "Settings". From the advanced interface, click on Antivirus module and select the Shield tab.

Please disable Active virus control and reboot your PC. Let me know if that application keeps crashing.

    Take care.

I did this and it worked. :) What does "Active virus control" do?

PS: The slow start up not changed

    Hello :)

In this case, please turn it on and put it to Permissive and let me know if everything is OK.

Bitdefender Active Virus Control is an innovative proactive detection technology which uses advanced heuristic methods to detect new potential threats in real time.

Active Virus Control continuously monitors the applications running on the computer, looking for malware-like actions. Each of these actions is scored and an overall score is computed for each process. When the overall score for a process reaches a given threshold, the process is considered to be harmful and it is blocked automatically.

    Take care.

I tested Permissive, Normal and Agressive. All crash the game and apps that use java and dedicated video card at same time (540M)
