Installing Bitdefender 2012 On Vmware Fusion 4 Running On Mac

Hello,

I have installed VMWare Fusion 4 as a virtual machine and am running Windows 7. Internet is working since I can browse and download files. I purchased Bitdefender 2012 last week and there is a problem. Each time I try to install the downloaded file, a message appears saying that this installation needs an internet connection and this software cannot be installed. This seems to be a problem only with Bitdefender. I tried other software and things work fine. I tried figuring about problems with internet, but that is not an issue here.

Just wanted to add that we access internet at work through a proxy server. Not sure if that is posing a problem.

Have you set up the proxy configuration in Bitdefender->Settings->General->Advanced?

If not make the settings and reboot the PC.

But I have not yet installed Bitdefender. When I am running the *.exe file to install the software, this message of not having internet connection comes up.

What you have said can be done after I have installed the same.

When you are prompted to download the latest files, choose no.
