Bitdefender Total Security Auto Pilot Question?

Hi,

I am just running an evaluation copy of this with a view to buying it. All seems good but...

Does the auto pilot run all the tune up utilities specifically disc defrag whilst the computer is idle then pauses when I wake pc up & then carries on when I am afk again? I currently have another all in one suite on my other pc's which do this. Also if it does do this does it recognise not to defrag my ssd discs? (I have been told not to defrag ssd's)

The functions of the Auto Pilot are: (taken from the manual in my siggy, under "Getting Started" 2.6 Auto Pilot)

• Manages AV Protection
• Firewall Protection
• Privacy Protection: Antiphishing-Antimalware for web browsing
• Auto-Updates

The defrag and all tuneups are run manually from the TuneUp Panel on the main control panel, so it will not run automatically. As you have put it, you do not, and should not defragg a SSD drive with a defragger that is meant for platters drives. The best option for the SSDs is the use of supporting manufacturers optimization/TRIM command, which Windows 7 does support.

The Tune Up info. is found on "Tune Up", 10. of the manual.
