It seems that many people, myself included, are having problems with different aspects of the Security Widget. In their race to stay ahead of the competition, security suite vendors are always looking for new features to add to their programs. Some of these, such as Safepay, are brilliant. Others, such as the Security Widget, are nothing more than buggy gimmicks, which become a major distraction when they don't work properly.

    In a way I know what you're saying...and yes, I agree Safepay is incredible. Yet I think part of the reason, let alone to "keep up with the Jones's", for the Widget was to resolve a request by many to return the Scan/Activity bar of old, and thus the widget now includes that function for file scanning and firewall traffic activity. It may not be all that we want it to be, but they can always improve off their ground work with this Widget. At least if anything, it can be disabled.

    The Security Widget is awesome feature and not to be removed.


    Anything which don't work properly can become a distraction and that is why Technical Support is here.

    Hi Christian... After a couple of repairs the widget seems to be functioning as intended. The problem was that event notifications were shown in the widget when there were no events in the events overview.
