[resolved] Can't See Ping In Battlefield 3
Hi again Christian,
I started this in the 2012 section and you said I should install 2013. I did and still have the problem. When I disable the firewall I can see the pings on the complete list of servers but enabled I don't see any pings.
What do I need to do so that I can see the pings when I start BF3, I can't tell what they are and get kicked out of some games because they are to high. I wouldn't bother if I could see if I was entering a game with high pings.

Okay, so I still have the ping problem and now Counter Strike source lets me log on to steam but the game just sets on loading.
The application rule says "steam allow any" but the firewall is stopping something and the game won't finish loading.0 -
I can play Counter Strike now, if I enable Game Mode manually. I thought it was supposed to switch to Game Mode automatically.
Still have ping problem in BF3.0 -

The Support Tool doesn't work for me.0 -
I started this almost a month ago ( June 30th ) in the 2012 Section, it doesn't seem like anyone that is familiar with this sort of thing ( meaning Support Staff ) couldn't steer me in the right direction.

Hello
A product update was released. Your build should be 16.18.0.1406(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).
In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
Changelog:

Let me know if the situation is solved.
Have a great weekend!0 -
No, build 16.18.0.1406 didn't fix it.
I still have to turn firewall off to see pings.0 -
Hello
Sorry for the delayed reply.
The current situation was reported to our developers.
Now, please open the main interface and make sure the firewall is turned on. Click on Settings and go to Firewall module.
From there click on the Advanced tab and turn on Increase log verbosity.
Close the interface and start your favorite game. By making more that setting in the product, more data will be collected in that log.
Please send me via PM this fileC:\Program Files\Common Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Firewall\bdfirewall.txt
Also, please make a screenshot from the game when you see the pings(with the firewall off) and one when you you don't see those elements.
Send over all the data via PM.
Reboot you PC and turn off Increase log verbosity.
Take care.0 -
PM sent along with the bdfirewall.txt and screenshots

Hello
Please open the main interface and make sure the Firewall is turned on. Click on Settings and go to Firewall module.
In the Settings tab, you have the General rules. Click on it please and a new window will be opened.
From there, set
Incoming ICMP
Incoming ICMPv6
to Allow and reboot your PC.
Please tell me if everything is OK after the reboot with the Firewall turned on and set like this:

That cured it !
I can see the pings now.
Is it safe to leave it like that though ?
Thanks ...0 -
Hello
Yes, it's safe to leave those settings like that, it won't affect the security of your PC.
Those settings are set to off by default because most of the internet providers still use IPv4.
Thank you very much for your confirmation.
We will change the general rules in a future build and those that have Battlefield installed won't encounter the same situation.
Have a great day!0
