    Hello :)

I've looked over the dumps and the issue is caused by: xvm-stat.exe

    http://code.google.com/p/dokan/issues/detail?id=268

As, you can see over here:

    http://dokan.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/dokan/readme.txt

The issue is not caused by our product.

    Thank you!

    LOL..........................

Everything worked fine... Now I bought Bitdefender which was not chea.p and my XVM doesn´t work anymore. I uninstall Bitdefender and everything is fine again.

And now you really wanna tell us it´s not your Problem????

xvm-stat.exe maybe causes the bluescreen.. But YOUR product is causing xvm-stat.exe in anyway so it makes the bluescreen.

    Nice support............

  • Hello :)

A product update was released and it will be installed on your machine in maximum 24 hours. Your build should be 16.25.0.1710 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

Let me know if everything is OK now.

Should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Have a great day!

This is my third year where I make a product comparison to choose my internet security suite and the same scenario always happen.

Most of the reviews set bitdefender as the best choice.

In the past years I had browsing speed issues when I installed bitdefender as a trial and that made me choose Kapspersky as an alternative.

This year I wanted to test bitdefender 2013. the first problem was the online installation where I had installation failed message on a windows 8 64 bit laptop. I solved that problem by downloading the program offline.

My problem now is that games such as "pro evolution soccer 2013" stopped launching after installing bitdefender 2013. I thought that the problem is with my laptop until I read this post. I uninstalled BD 2013 and everything worked fine again. even with kaspersky 2013 I had no problems.

I wonder why bitdefender has such high ranks on the web while it never stops having unique problems in their software.

I wish such problems to be solved before my trial period ends.

    Br,

  • WOW.. Just purchased Bitdefender today and found out it doesn't work well with WOT & XVM.

Wish I had looked here earlier. I may go try to get a refund, as this continues to be an issues.

    Just WOW, Unbelievable

    Eric <img class=" /><img class=" />

  • Any update on this?

    I've the same problem... :(

  • same problem with bitdefender is 2013 and DokanLib..

    Bluescreen of death..

Let me know if the situation is solved.

    Have a nice day.

    Problem still exists!

  • did you try turning malware and firewall off and playing the game

  • I have the same problem.

Game World of Tanks + XVM, Win8 x64 and the latest Bitdefender.

    hello same problem

    Christian,

I sent you a PM with my BD Support file. Thanks for any assistance but

but it does not work it tells me that it is impossible to send a message for you

  • So I uninstalled BDIS 2013 last year due to incompatibility issues with game related software. I am now using windows 8 & thought I would try again & see if things have been fixed.

I do a fresh install which goes well & I go to start World of Tanks using the xvm shortcut.

Game gets to it's loading screen & the PC freezes & then blue screens with the error dpc watchdog violation.

Is BDIS still not compatible with the Dokan library?

I searched for that error & it mentions SSD drives which I do not use.

Am I going to have to uninstall BDIS yet again?

  • Wow, they never resolved this.

I just made a new thread as I thought I'd try again since changing to Windows 8. Same thing. 2 BSODs. First was a dpc watchdog violation & then a bad header or something.

  • Hi all,

I have the same problem with windows 7 x64 and BDIS13. Always blue screens.

I have tested several rules but nothing helped except to uninstall BD.

It´s incredible that the support knows the problem and over months no solution.

Hope there is an solution soon. otherwise I must bought a new solution for this.

    regards

yeah, thats the reason why i have uninstalled bitdefender.. each year it is the same with that product. there are certain application which wont run with bitdefender..

i have changed to avast 8; free ware and good enough. although i have 120days left on my bitdefender IS 2013.

free scanners are good enough, windows firewall is enough if u know what u do.

i wont come back to bitdefender again. 6 years full of problems are enough.

    support is awful.

  • OK I just bought BD 2013 and noticed the issue with WoT and came to these forums.

After trying several possible solutions. I found the one that lets me play WoT and have BD 2013 running.

    Here it is:

!!!!Steps 1-3 was all I needed in particular step 3 as I had already done step 2 previously!!!

WoT runs fine now updates and all

    Hi all,

There are many crash issues with dokan in fltmgr. Most common:

    http://code.google.com/p/dokan/issues/detail?id=268

    and

    http://code.google.com/p/dokan/issues/detail?id=171

Unfortunately, the dokan library hasn't been undergoing maintenance for about 2 years. The last one was done on January 10th, 2011.

This information is extracted for their readme (http://dokan.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/dokan/readme.txt):

    Misc

    ====

If there are bugs in Dokan library or file system applications which

use the library, you will get the Windows blue screen. Therefore, it

is strongly recommended to use Virtual Machine when you develop file

    system applications.

As Christian already explained here before, Bitdefender is not the cause for this BSOD. The issue has already been thoroughly investigated by our Testing team.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • Hi, I've been having the same issue with Bitdefender 2013 as well. In Bitdefender 2012 I didn't have the problem with the system crashing but in the 2013 one, it crashes. It really saddens me to see that this issue still hasn't been resolved since I uninstalled Bitdefender before the beginning of the year. I have customers at my computer store as well that have the same issue and all I have to tell them is that Bitdefender still hasn't fixed the issue. I end up recommending Norton instead.

I have tried everything under the sun to get Bitdefender working with XVM on World of Tanks but it just doesn't want to work together.

I most certain know its nothing with my system for I have a super computer:

AMD 8-Core Processor (4.2Ghz per core and 4.5Ghz Turbo)

    ASRock Extreme 9 Motherboard

    Corsair Liquid CPU Cooling

    4x8GB GSkill RAM totaling 32GB

    x2 Samsung Pro 840 SSD's

x2 XFX AMD HD Radeon 7970 GHz Editions

    1250W OCZ Power Supply

Bitdefender, you really need to fix this issue, its obviously a issue because many other people have it. Don't "quote" another paragraph pre-writed ****** like I have seen in the forum. Take some time and actually write out the message like a normal person would to actually show all the customers and potential customers you really care. Other wise, your no better than any other Anti Virus Company out there.

And yet, the bsod ONLY happens when using Bitdefender. When running without BD installed, never see a bsod.

I am STILL running dokan with xvm on World of Tanks flawlessly since uninstalling BD.

    Hello again,

Thank you for your constant feedback on this topic.

We re-opened the issue with our developers. They found a solution which will be implemented in a future automatic update of Bitdefender, through gzfltr.sys 1.0.41.

To check the current gzfltr version: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\gzflt.sys -> properties -> Details -> File version entry

Please keep an eye on the on the dedicated product update topic. We will announce the change there:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...20&p=187136

    Thank you. :)

  • Bitdefender is one big scam!

I ask for money back because there peoduct is WACK, now they say i have my product since december 2012 so im to late, while i have a receit its purcharged in MAY 2013

    What a bunch of scum!

  • I moved from Kaspersky to Bitdefender two days ago and have the same Problems now with World of Tanks and the XVM Mod. And I have reinstalled my system twice since I got those BSoD's.

I'm a little disappointed with Bitdefender in that term.

Otherwise I was assuming that a piece of my pc's hardware was malfunctioning. Now that I know that my new AntiVir Programm causes all the trouble I feel a little better so I do not have to replace any hardware.

Hopefully a fix will come soon.

  • Same at me! I changed to BDIS 2013 (V. 7.48304) and every time Bluescreen at startup of World of Tanks with Dokan Library installed. De-Installing of Dokan will make the Game running without Problems, but also without the Mod Feature. :( Deinstalling of BDIS also makes the Game running fine. So i´m absolutely sure that the problems are resulting of an incompatibilty of Dokan Librarys with yours BDIS 2013. As many other customers before me i want you to find a solution for that problem that exist since a lot of months?! Is it really impossible to find a solution for that problem?? BDIS 2013 is the only Security Suite that makes problems with that mod on my and many other peoples PC. Fix it! Fix it fast, Please....

  • I've tried every one solution from this topic, but problem still exists.

    Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.

    Waiting for fix.

    Hi Georgia

This is good news. How long until the solution comes out? Checking my gzfltr.sys I am still on 1.0.0.36 - how long until 1.0.41 goes live?

I think there will nothing happen.... They know about the problem at least 12 month and the problem still exist! The last update came on 4th July and the problem still exist..... Maybe we are not important enough to care about our problems!?! Let me give you some Figures about World of Tanks from http://wot-news.com/stat/server/sea/norm/en:

    EU Server:

    Total Players: 9 738 197

Active players in the past week: 987 757 (nice activity if remember that in europe are summer holidays)

New players registered in this month: 115 102 (1.182%)

    RU Server:

    Total Players: 15 468 675

Active players in the past week: 3 116 980

New players registered in this month: 137 331 (0.888%)

    US Server:

    Total Players: 4 572 210

Active players in the past week: 260 793

New players registered in this month: 312 971 (6.845%)

    SEA Server:

    Total Players: 1 747 499

Active players in the past week: 119 383

New players registered in this month: 33 443 (1.914%)

In best case only 30% of that people needs dokan for any statistic addons (probably more than 50% because wot player love statistics :P). Let us talk about only the last week then... That means that ONLY (lol) 1 345 474 people can´t use your security suite - and remember that this is only 30%!!! And now let us talk about the future of the relationship of Bitdefender and WoT Players.... In the last month on all servers 598 847 new players created an account - more than the half of it in the USA. What do you think which Security suite that people will choose if they need a new licence after the problem with your suite is written much about in a lot of WoT forums? And how many BDIS 2013 User will recommend Bitdefender to their clanmates and friends or family?? Think about that Figures.....

I will delete the software now, because your support is the worst i ever saw. I had big expectations as i bought your software, but now i am very disappointed. Everyone that will ask me in future what Internet Security he should use i will say: Everything, but not Bitdefender!

Thanks for your Attention and have nice (future)dreams...... :P

    Hello,

The fix will be delivered with the next product update. I will get back with more details this Thursday.

    Thank you for the update!

  • Thank you for the good news Georgia. Maybe I can finally use BitDefender again.

  • and? ...........

  • There was a product update yesterday. Is the problem fixed? Can anybody confirm?

  • nope,no fix 4 me <_<

  • Thats bad news. I was really looking forward to install bitdefender again.

  • gzflts inside the dirvers folder still shows the old version. The new version Georgia touted as being in the next update has not come through yet.

  • Right, well I've upgraded to the brand spanking new version of Bitdefender Internet Security and the problem still persists.

My license will be up in the not too distant future and I will not be renewing at this rate. Thursday has been and gone.

Have all Files add to exceptions but instant Bluescreen. Test with German Version and English Version (im from Switzerland). Please fix it Bitdefender. Actuall i have deleted Bitdefender. Its only BD have this Problem! ALL other Antivirus Software works with Dokan.

Please write here in Forum when is fixed so i can reinstall Bitdefender.

L.o.D., I have the same issue. Just upgraded to BD IS 2013 last weekend and immediately had the issue with the XVM mod.

I found that Dokan installs a dokan.sys file in the Windows\System32\drivers folder and a dokan.dll file, in my case, in the Windows\System32\SysWOW64 folder. I added both of these files as exclusions in BD and then created a firewall rule for the XVM-Proxy.exe file to allow it to connect to its host server.

I also excluded the entire Dokan folder in the Programs Folder directory.

The World of Tanks program now launches and allows me to log in, but as soon as I select the option to start a battle, I get a reboot of my system.

I am going to try and exclude the WOT-XVM Proxy.exe process as well as the main WOT process to see if that helps at all.

Just wanted to add my experience to the issue too.

    Thanks.

  • I'd like to be updated on this issue. My main pc on which I play WoT sometimes is running bitdefender 2013 and is now cripled because I can't use xvm, since I don't own the pc myself, I cannot just deinstall bitdefender, but I have to wait for the update.

My laptop is now running microsoft Essentials until this problem is fixed.

  • Not much news here. This topic exists for quite some time now.

So there is probably not much priority on this issue.

Thats a shame. There are plenty of alternatives for Bitdefender but no alternative for the XVM Mod.

  • Strange, since they actually named specific dates for this to be solved. It seems development is excruciatingly slow at bitdefender, other bugs which seems more significant haven't been solved either, and have been going on for months now...

I wonder, if they are not solving bugs, what ARE they doing at bitdefender? Milking out our money I guess?

  • Is there any chance to get an update on this topic?

  • You can reply and then subscribe to it, so you will receive an email when someone replies. But seeing as how fast BitDefender responds to these bugs, I doubt this will be fixed before 2014, if ever.

  • Can we at least have some sort of update here as we're being completely left in the dark? If there are problems, that is fine, but a bit of communication would go very far to help.

  • Same here. Regardless of BD telling us it's 'not their problem', it's the ONLY anti-virus that BSODs with Dokan and the XVM mod. If everyone else can make an exception for Dokan, why not BD. Am tired of this problem and will probably return to Kasp as a result.

Just to put the player numbers in perspective to those up top.

The Sims 3, which some of you may have noticed, had a problem recently with BD and was escalated to be solved, has, to date, sold approx 10 million units, if Wikipedia is to be believed.

World of Tanks has 45 million active accounts. (Source http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/world-...llion-players/). As the article goes on to state, at a single point in time, there were simulataneously 600,000 players on a single server in Russia ALONE last December (which is a Guinness World Record), which is approximately how many people played the entire top 100 games on Steam on a day in May this year.

There are already plenty of people in this 45 million strong community telling people to avoid BD for the blue screening with XVM. It is costing you business.

At least communicate with us and give us an idea that you do, infact, still care. I would dearly like to continue being a customer, as I think your product is the best. But it's only marginally best, in a tightly competitive market. Don't give people reasons to walk away.

  • Well, I guess this is all going to become irrelevant.

XVM have announced today they're moving away from Dokan.

Regardless, I shall not be renewing my BD license when it expires after this debacle.

  • Looks like there's a ton of compatibility issues with BD and games. I just uninstalled BD Internet Security today because it was messing with my client's Steam. It would only work if he disabled BD's firewall.

Wondering if there's a version of BD that doesn't include a firewall.

  • Dragon667

There is a new version of XWM that workes fine with BD.

    8.5 i think.

Here is a link to an Youtube video that shows how to install and has the download links in the description.

  • The new Version of XVM doesent need the Dokan Library anymore. So you can uninstall it and Bitdefender wont have any problem. But It's to late for me anyway. Got myself Kaspersky again.

Force another reboot. That lasted about 5 minutes before locking up. Another forced reboot. Seems ok now for now. Now I got to make my mind up if if I want to keep putting up with this or wait for a patch. Program wasn't very well thought of before it was released. Will wait a couple of weeks to see if they release a patch. BTW, I haven't seen a BSOD in I can't remember when. I like this program but will start looking for a replacement in the mean time. I like to give them a chance to see if they take care of their customers first and come out with a proper fix.

I installed BitDefender yesterday, and also started experiencing difficulties with World of Tanks.

Though I sometimes do have crashes anyway, I get a lot of them since I have BitDefender. I did not have such difficulties with NOD32. I do have BitDefender in Game mode, and will try to have the firewall disabled (=switched back to the default windows firewall) from tonight on.

For me the game freezes usually at the start or end of a game (so loading the battle area or after viewing the scores and pressing escape to return to the garage.

I run the game in XP SP3 compatibility mode.

WoT is a free on-line game, so you can get the full version on-line at worldoftanks.com.

They also have an on-line support/bug ticket system, so getting in touch with them to solve the issue should be possible. It only might be a bit annpoying because at first you get some standard responses where thet ask for the DxDiag and game logs.

I'm willing to help with testing if needed.

  • Maybe the Dev's of Bitdefeder got a deal with the Dev' of War Thunder. ;)
