Bd Is Blocking My Email Client

Options

Hi,

I have been browsing the topics, but could not find a solution for my problem. My Email Client Thunderbird / Seamonkey (both) are set up properly. The ports and servers are correct, I cannot get my emails downloaded. I have tried both, POP3 and IMAP. Neither are working. What I have to do? Shall I create a rule for the Firewall or is there any special setting for Email clients on BD?

Please help me,

Many thanks,

Szarvas

    Hi :)

    Welcome to the forums!

I think I have a solution for your case.

As the new Bitdefender 2013 product suite was released, we would like to inform you that you benefit from a FREE upgrade to the latest version.

Apart from the fact that the 2013 suite brings lots of new features and improvements, it will most likely solve any issues that you may have encountered with your previous Bitdefender product.

    Please check out this announcement:

After you install the new version, if needed, we will continue the conversation on the new area from here:

    Thank you.

  • Hi and many thanks for your reply,

That means although there is an 2011 version on the PC, I can upgrade to the 2013 for free simply just installing the new one.

    Am I correct?

What do I need to do?

Uninstall 2011 with your uninstaller > install 2013 and it is done.

    Many thanks,

    Szarvas

    Hello :)

Yes, that is all that you need to do. Uninstall the old product, reboot and install the new one.

You have all the details in my previous post.

    Thank you!
