The tool at this link is maintained and updated regularly. the previous link in this topic appears to be broken.
It is of course most effective when run after the program's own uninstaller. reboot into windows safe mode (no locked files then) for best possible cleaning and run this tool. don't bother with the zip, just download the EXE file. choose the option to remove all known products. you need to enter a captcha code to confirm removal. restart when finished and install your shiny new Bitdefender product.0
Hi Guys, the CA link doesn't work, they are now total defence. I cant uninstall all the files, namely Etrust. Anyone help please? I can't install this until it is clean. Cheers0
I tried the link for CA removal but it gives error and then the page displays "Knowledge Tools requires either Netscape 4.7x, Netscape 6.2x and higher, or Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher.". I am using IE 10 (Win 7 64-bit).
I cannot install lBitdefender as it complains about eTrust.0

I can't get BD Total Security to go on as it tell me it can't uninstall eTrust. I just had Total Security 2013 on the computer and was told in a email to uninstall it before putting on 2014 Total Security and now it's finding traces of the previous suite that was on the computer.

Thank you for the informative post. I do actually use Geek uninstaller along with iObit and now I am trying out ZSoft. iObit has an advantage over others in that it detects toolbars which are not detected by Geek uninstaller. Im still testing ZSoft...0

Which software do you want to deinstall?
(I guess the quality of the deinstallation depends on the quality of the software + the quality of the former installation - CCleaner is not infallible.
